Fragrance

Fragrance is one of the most powerful way to reach the senses, and just as the music we love or the food we love to eat are part of what makes us distinctive, so is the perfume we wear. BeautyNewsNYC.com serves as a guide and a scout for readers, constantly searching for that elusive scent that will stop others in their tracks or prompt a stranger in an elevator to ask, “Excuse me, but I have to ask, what is that you’re wearing? I love it!”

Fragrance types are as varied as people, and BeautyNewsNYC.com’s goal is to try to convey the true experience of a perfume when writing about it, knowing that not everyone likes powdery, or musk-heavy, or floral scents. Perfumes are one of the most personal items a woman can buy, and our intent is to lead you in the direction of your most perfect signature scent. And that path is not always the path most traveled – we will also lead you to uncharted parfum territory. Every article will be an olfactory adventure, and at the end, we can only hope that we’ve guided you toward something you’ll love.

Although we tend to think of the literal scent, the smell, of a perfume, there are a handful of other crucial factors that we cover as well. We won’t only tell you what the perfumes smell like, we’ll also help you learn how to store your fragrances, how long they should last, the design of the packaging (and if it holds any particular significance), the time of day you should wear the perfume (whether it’s intended to be a fun and frolicky day perfume or a sexy and sultry evening perfume), and, of course, where to buy it and how much it costs.

Let the five senses run wild – well, at least one, and we’ll tack on a 6th sense – enjoying reading and learning more about one of the most potent of the other five.
