In the interest of full disclosure, let me admit that when I read the press materials for Ganache for Lips, touting that “Not all lip balms are created equal,” I thought to myself, yeah, yeah, whatever. As a lippie addict, I’ve tested enough balms to roll my eyes at that one. Yet, pay attention…this time, it’s true. So, what’s different, you might be thinking? Well, let’s start with the ingredients. Ganache’s lip balms use all natural, unrefined ingredients that stem from botanical sources. Flavored with REAL, award -winning Scharffen Berger chocolate, these balms are sweet enough to satisfy any woman’s sweet tooth, yet won’t endanger your 2008 New Year’s resolutions.
Ganache for Lips began in May 2003 in the kitchen of creator and owner, Patricia West. While recovering from treatment for breast cancer, West was experimenting with her own recipes for homemade body care products, including a lip balm with peppermint oil to combat the fatigue of radiation. On went the experimentation until inspiration struck and West added Scharffen Berger chocolate to the blend. Voila, Ganache for Lips was born.
