This season, I am introducing my new Summer Beauty Pairings “Get the Look” series, bringing together different focal points of makeup into styles that work well together and that you can easily recreate.

You should always keep in mind that products and features must compliment each another in some way while worn together. Sometimes, it’s totally obvious what works; sometimes, it’s not that obvious. And sometimes, it’s what you’d least expect and that’s what makes makeup so exciting!

This summer, a classic cat eye + a red lip is a gorgeous classic combination that can be worn with a multitude of lip textures, from gloss to matte to somewhere in between, along with any cat eye variations.

Paige is wearing Butter London’s Lippy in Come To Bed Red and Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool Eyeliner.

Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool: Allow Too Faced to introduce its new and innovative lash lining tool. Once you go 3-way, you’ll never want to go back. This deluxe liquid liner features a few new ways to satisfy your eye-lining desires. You can dot along both the upper and lower lash line to give the illusion of thicker darker lashes. You can literally add delicate lashes on to your lower lashes—think Twiggy—as well as at ends. It’s also a traditional liquid liner that’s also got usable for regular ol’ cat eyes.

Too Faced Bulletproof Liner: Liquid Liner not your thing? Well, you can line, blend, and smoke with Too Faced Bulletproof liner pencil. Create a precise, high-impact line or blend to create a quick smoldering, smoky eye that locks down in seconds for 24-hour, bulletproof wear that won’t crease, smudge, or budge. Hidden inside its cap is a bullet smudger and a sharpener that keeps the eyeliner on point and ready to play.

Butter London Lippy Come To Bed Red: The smell of butterscotch is enough to keep me coming back for more of this liquid lipstick, but once you actually apply Butter London’s Lippy on your lips, it’s there to stay until it wears off, as a very flattering stain. What I really love about this product is that you can build the intensity of the product. I like to put some product on the top of my finger from the applicator and just pat it in my lip until it becomes almost tint or a stain. You can also apply a couple of swipes to intensify the look for a classic red lip with shine. If you would like to help preserve the staying power, I would suggest tracing lips with a red liner prior to applying the gloss.

Laqa & Co. Fat Lip Pencil Siren Song: Lip masters Laqa & Co. offer their take on Pantone Color of the year Marsala, which lives in the red family. This pencil delivers concentrated, high-sheen pigment, while the smooth buttery texture coats lips in stunning, glossy color. And it comes in a handy jumbo pencil that doesn’t require a sharpener.

Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette: Any simple cat eye can be enhanced with an eye shadow palette. Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette is a purrrrr-rfect way to have fun with it and features nine new shades in matte, shimmer and glitter textures in warm and cool tones, and three that can be worn wet-and-dry for intense precision lining and a perfect wing tip. Inside is also a step by step instruction guide to achieving three different types of cat eyes. It allows you to take a classic look and make it sexier.
