BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector will help you transition your makeup routine from winter to spring. This “must own” liquid illuminator even has SPF so yay on that. It’s made with ultra-fine, naturally derived mica particles that reflect light on the face. I dabbed just a dollop of Pearl (via a pink Beauty Blender and my fingers) under my eyes and just around my nose and I emitted this youthful, healthy glow. I already look young, but this added an extra oomph. When May gets here, I’ll swap out Pearl for the peachier Moonstone, which mimics that sun-kissed look and is appropriate for warmer days.

Ricky Color’s self-contained, sharpener-free Disco Sticks – no, not the ones Lady Gaga sings about in her song– are tinted, somewhat glossy party pencils for your lips, offering moisture, color and shine with none of the dryness that can be associated with matte formulations. Rock Roxy (a mauve) or Marquee (a rosy nude) or Roseland (a punchy rose); I did. These chubbies are available at Ricky’s NYC locations or here.

The lip crayons remain a hot trend, with Bite Beauty’s Matte Creme Lip Crayons get lips spring ready thanks to the vibrant, saturated hue. A major plus? The tips are pointy, ensuring a more precise application. Grape (light purple), Kumquat (bright baby pink, pictured above) and Clementine (juicy orange) are all your lips need this summer…

…besides the brand’s mega moisturizing Agave Lip Mask. The thick formula renders lips fully kissable, all of the time. You smooth it on with a finger and leave it, so it penetrates and absorbs. It’s not a scrub; it’s more like a super thick, richness-packed, before bed balm that works for cold temps and dry, hot climates. Lip skin is sensitive; take care of it with this miracle in a tube.

Right now is always a good time to play with false lashes. My new faves are Eylure’s Miss Flicklash series, which come with a built-in cat-eye flick in the outer corner. So you get supremely curled, thick, Marilyn Monroe-like lashes and a flick. It’s a two-fer!! 140F is mega on all fronts.

080F is shorter and sparser. There are several styles to suit your lash mood. Even though the flick, which is often difficult to achieve, is already there, you still have to apply carefully.

The brand has continued its collabo with Katy Perry (now a CoverGirl). Banging Beauty lashes are medium in length with lovely curl.

Lovely Lolita lashes are a bit wispier but don’t skimp on the bend. The are full but shorter and more manageable, and recommended for false lash virgins.

Bonus: Eylure lashes are easy to apply, contact lense safe and reusable, and come complete with a tube of adhesive. All are available at ULTA.
