Beauty

“Everyone gets treated like a star!”, Deborah Lippmann proclaims when asked what makes her famed manicures so special.

Maybe Deborah Lippmann didn’t make the recent History Channel ranking of the Greatest Americans, but without a doubt this pioneer-turned-star of the nail-care industry has earned her stripes. It was another great American icon of beauty, Bobbi Brown, who first discovered Lippmann at the Fredrick Fekkai Salon. It took no time at all for Deborah to become an industry darling, once Brown mentioned to the folks at Allure that Lippmann’s manicures were the crème de la crème…or as we stay stateside, cream of the crop! Next thing you know, Deborah’s handy-work was turning up in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, and (of course) Allure. But this pioneer chose not to rest on her laurels…oh no. Lippmann set out to create her own line of nail care, color and utensils. The result is a prestigious line that creates the ‘star treatment’ for clients, in their own home.

With celebrity inspired shades such as Just Walk Away Renee – a sultry currant color created with Renee Zellweger), Sarah Smile – a sheer girlie pink created with Sarah Jessica Parker, and No More Drama – a bronzy golden caramel created with Mary J. Blige, as well as her own fabulous concoctions like Constant Craving – the loveliest lavender shade ever, there is literally something for everyone in her line of polish. Lippmann encourages the use of supplementary nail care products to help protect nails, keep them strong, and ensure longer life for your polish. Her quick-dry super high gloss top coat, On A Clear Day, can be used every few days to extent the life and retain the vibrancy of nail color; and it protects from UV rays as well.

There are other fantastic tools in Deborah’s shed. Stripper To Go pads are the most convenient on-the-go nail polish removers I’ve ever used. Scented with lavender is just as worth a try. There is also Rich Girl hand cream with an spf of 25 and the ability to turn your hands from distraught to distinguished in just a couple of applications. As if this was not enough of star treatment, Lippmann created booties that would make Beyonce envious. Bootylicious is the name of her lavender scented spa booties…you actually heat them up. How luxurious is that?

Lippmann products are available online at http://www.lippmanncollection.com or at Neiman Marcus and Sephora nationwide.
