If you are tired of the same ol’ lip balm offerings at your favorite makeup counters or purchasing locations, then you’ve got to check out My EcoLips, where you can create your very own lip balm with the very best ingredients, which are USDA certified organic, fair trade-certified, GMO-free, gluten-free and cruelty-free.

I am busy, working like six jobs – no, I am not kidding – but it took me all of 20 minutes to create my lip balm, which I named after my English bulldog Higgins.

It was the easiest, most creative thing I’ve done in a while.

As I selected ingredients and flavors, I thought, “Oooh, this is fun!” I felt like I needed to wear a white chemist’s coat to look the part.

Take a few minutes, make your own and you will love it. I PROMISE! Plus, your formula is saved so you can repurchase if it attains Holy Grail status with you.

Several tubes arrived packaged in a chubby tube and coated my kisser with non-greasy moisture. So your excuse that you are too busy to make your own balm won’t fly with me. Just Do It. Thanks, Nike, for letting me borrow your phrase.

I chose a coconut x vanilla x cherry flavor, and added Virgin Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Argon Oil and Shea Butter as my moisturizers. My Higgins balm is so rich and moisture-loaded that I even dabbed some on my dry cuticles, mid-week, before my manicure and it helped me get through those last few pre-mani hours.

Need further incentive to make your own? Well, we’ve got one.

We’re offering an EXCLUSIVE 20 percent discount to Beauty News NYC readers through February 28, 2014. Go here, custom create your own My EcoLips balm and at checkout, use this code: MYECOLIPS2014.

Don’t be like everyone else with a get-it-anywhere lip balm. Make. Your. Own.
