Beauty

With the fanciful refinement en vogue this spring, lighter, pastel shades will complement the season’s A-line skirt perfectly. It may be a little too early to bare those legs, but your lips can still look fashion forward.

Carol Shaw, celebrity makeup artist and creator of LORAC cosmetics, has created a new shade for LORAC’s notoriously fabulous Lip Polish line and proved that it is possible to improve on a classic. Groovy Fruit Strawberry is a pinkish coral shade that is soft enough for the upcoming season and very 2005. The polish sparkles just enough to make your lips look sultry, feminine and sophisticated.

I loved the way this clever polish added a lot of shine and a hint of color, without having to wear lipstick. Wearing a lipstick as a base is, however, always as option. Whatever way you choose to wear it, the fruity shade sparkles like a Hollywood smile.

The bottle is also small enough to fit perfectly even the most fashionable and least practical purses. Even better, the brush in the nail polish shaped bottle smoothes on the polish without messy sticky fingers as a result.

My favorite part about this polish is that is goes beyond the usual layer of gloss. It has a little something for you and anyone lucky enough to get within kissing distance ? the polish is subtly scented with a hint of vanilla and mint.
