Beauty

When you need makeup that is glamorous, glowing, and has the touch of a Hollywood makeup artist, Scott Barnes is your man. Originally an artist from Detroit, he arrived on New York’s makeup scene six years ago and has made quite an impression. Having a natural talent in photography and painting provided a foundation for Barnes in becoming a makeup artist. A photographer Barnes worked for recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursuit the art of makeup. After working with many faces you know and love in 2003 Scott Barnes launched his own color cosmetic line.

Body Bling

Barnes’s favorite product, Body Bling won Hollywood’s finest clientele. This extremely popular product created Barnes’ signature artistic look – a bronzed, expensive, sexy femininity paired with elegance and natural glamour. Body Bling caught the public’s attention when Barnes first began work with Jennifer Lopez. He created Body Bling because he needed a quick fix for creating a shimmering tan without making Miss Lopez sit in the sun. The nice thing is it works on all skin shades depending on how much you end up using – less for fair skin, more for deeper.

Barnes did Lopez’s make-up for the various magazine covers as well as the album cover for J Lo. Other clients of Barnes include Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angie Harmon, Kate Hudson, and Mary J.Blige. His goal with the makeup line, however, was to reach all people. Barnes said, “Makeup can be transforming. That’s the impact I want to make on people.” He created a natural yet alluring look for woman to bask in their enhanced beauty.

Chic Palette

Another favorite product of Barnes is the Chic Palette – a trio of blushes. Out of six color sets the Prim Proper Posh palette is perfect for a woman on the go who needs a feminine, professional look. The three shades provide for a gentle and lit from within glow that work beautifully on the cheeks as well as for an all over warmth. And best of all is the clean crisp easy-to-tote in-purse packaging.

Flossy Glossy Lip Gloss

Names like Sassy, Gold Digga, Vivid, Scarlet Starlet and Meow to name a few in the Flossy Glossy Lip Gloss selection will catch your eyes and lips attention. The colors are simple, sweet, and enticing just what a glamour-puss would want for her lips. The selection of Flossy Glossy lip gloss caters to many skin types and color preferences with their sheer shades and are great to throw in your pocket for an evening out.

As his makeup line and artistry grow hand in hand, Scott Barnes is a great one to keep an eye on!
