“We wanted to create a beauty destination that would be an oasis of comfort and pampering for our clients in the midst of this bustling city,” say makeup artists Anne DeMarco and Charles Douglas.
The result? Rouge Makeup Studio, a private, luxurious space nestled in the Flatiron district that serves as a full-service makeup studio. In this warm and welcoming atmosphere, with décor inspired by French Empire and Bollywood chic, clients are treated to exclusive makeup services, lessons and workshops.
Known for a beauty style that is classic Hollywood glamour with an edge, services offered by Rouge include event and bridal makeup, eyebrow shaping, airbrush makeup, private makeup lessons, and professional makeup. DeMarco and Douglass are both successful makeup artists with years of experience in makeup for print, TV, runway and the red carpet. Celebrity clients of the pair have included Brooke Shields, Kate Walsh, Paris Hilton, Marilu Henner, Lynda Carter, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, and Star Jones, among others.
Rouge also offers their own signature line of products, Rouge Cosmetics, available exclusively at the studio. Created with both pro makeup artists and consumers in mind, the line includes a wide range of lip glosses, eyeshadows, body shimmers, mineral pigments, cream blushes, and more in an exclusive collection of colors and shades.
Rouge Makeup Studio also offers a wide variety of workshops, for beginners and professionals alike, such as “Makeup 101,” “Makeup for Photography,” “How to Break Into Makeup,” and “Advanced Airbrush Techniques.” Workshops offer a lot of private attention, as they are limited to 10 people.
Rouge Makeup Studio is located at 1123 Broadway, Suite 1002, for an appointment, call 212-226-7350. For more information or a workshop calendar, visit www.rougemakeupstudio.com.
