As you pass through the friendly purplish pages of, you can feel that there is something different about this site, it’s got soul.

Stacie M. Simmons, the architect of this online beauty boutique, has planned it that way. She has created a site that is not only quickly filling the long felt gap for accessing high-quality products in the cosmetics industry, but she has developed it with care because she has finally built her dream.

The desire to do something new, create a high-end beauty boutique filled with hard-to-find items that are not typically found in stores, like most things, is an uphill battle;; but as Stacie will tell you, she doesn’t stop.

On top of all this is Stacie’s story. She began noticing that she felt differently about three years ago. After dozens of trips to hospitals and specialists, it has been determined that she is battling with a neurological disease and a rare systemic autoimmune disease that takes over the body, where the body actually attacks itself. Though Stacie faces an ongoing struggle, she has made a conscious choice not to let this defeat her.

“This business is my passion, my dream, and I can’t let this disease destroy me. I have to control what I can and that is work.”

Even when everyone around her tried to dissuade her from pursuing her passion, especially her doctors, she did it her way, at her own pace, and has garnished recognition through easily doubling her web hits in just one month’s time.

“Sometimes when you make a decision and people try to stop you, you stop and say ‘forget it, he’s right I’m not doing it.’ But I just didn’t listen to the noise, I made the decision to do it and it worked,” said Stacie.

The idea worked because Stacie recognized that “there was nothing out there for the high-end, Park Avenue type of woman.”

Knowing some lines that she knew she wanted, she began to research, literally scouring every beauty resource she could think of, and used her expertise as a makeup artist to sort through the good, the bad, and the beautiful.

“I don’t go for the name,” she said. “I go for the product and I test it to death.” Some of those names include Joey NY, SCO Skincare, POP Beauty and T. LeClerc Skincare.

Stacie plans to add new lines often and the latest line to be added will be The Balm.

She also works closely with Chad Hayduk Co-Creator of Three Custom Color (who will pen a column on weddings), Brian Duprey of Duprey cosmetics, and Kimberly Sayer of Kimberly Sayer of London Skincare, all of whom contribute their words and expertise to her site.

With the all of the hard-to-find brands on the site, Stacie recognizes that not everyone will have heard of them. Her answer? A personal shopping service. By either phone or e-mail, shoppers are encouraged to consult Stacie for all of their beauty needs. She will even suggest e-mailing a picture of yourself so she can help pick out cosmetics to match your coloring.

Coming soon are’s ready-made beauty baskets (choose from small, medium and large) that will complement their custom gift baskets. “We will talk you through it,” Stacie said. “Tell us about the person and we will give all different, great ideas for all kinds of wonderful baskets.”

Check out Stacie’s one-of-a-kind lip gloss that she created with Three Custom Color Cosmetics. The gloss, called Stacie’s Passion, is an exclusive shade whose proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Foundation and to the National Kidney Research Foundation. Stacie chose these foundations because her mother is a breast cancer survivor, and her grandmother passed away from kidney disorder. In the coming weeks, look for Kimberly Sayer’s exclusive body oil, which will benefit the rare disease that Stacie has.
