This fall, the streets of Los Angeles will see rich velvet blazers, textured tights and leggings, deep plum lips and studded statement stilettos. With so much ado about fashion and accessories, we’re thinking our fragrances should take a more delicate approach.

We’re looking at some light and feminine scents to balance out all the chains and bangles we plan on layering…

STELLANUDE is the latest eau de toilette by Stella McCartney. Ultra feminine, without being heavy sweet, STELLANUDE brings notes of Moroccan Rose, Ugandan Vanilla, spicy pink pepper and white peony. This fragrance is her ode to intimacy – a “scentual” version of lingerie so to speak.

Note: A few of us had some issues with STELLANUDE wearing off. For those who experience the same, try the Linen Mist. It wears beautifully on everything from linens to silk and denim.

We also love the light airy scent of Tokyo Milk’s Gin & Rosewater eau de parfum. With fresh notes of citrus zest, rosewood, mimosa and mandarin, it reminds us of a grown-up version of our first favorite scents. The collection itself can be hard to find, but we found the best selection at Fred Segal Santa Monica. Some Anthropologie locations carry the fragrances and lip balms, as well.

We were surprised at how much we enjoyed one spritz of Kat Von D’s Saint. For some reason we expected the scent to be on the obtrusive side. Go figure. Instead, the sweet fragrance is composed of Mirabelle Plum, mandarin, Tiare flower, Jasmine and vanilla notes. A touch of sandalwood takes the scent from overly sweet to warm and welcoming. Sephora, Manhattan Beach.
