As promised, BN wanted to share our every celebrity encounter, backstage observations, front row sightings and well just about everything we could get our sneaky little eyes to see. So without further ado, here is a random list of the random things we caught at the tents and all around Manhattan during Fall 2009 Fashion Week.
• Model Coco Rocha conducting backstage interviews for E! News |
• The best backstage food spread of the week=Unconditional. Fully equipped with chocolate covered strawberries, spinach ravioli and chicken parmesan sandwiches.
• A live Punjabi band playing at Ports 1961 as opposed to a DJ. Very cool.
• Anna Wintour. Everywhere.
• Kanye West. Everywhere.
• Smartwater. Possibly the official sponsor of Fashion Week as I have several half empty bottles that accumulated in my purse.
• Fabulous fashion and beauty editors. Cat Marnell of Lucky, Anne Slowey of Elle and Carine Roitfeld of French Vogue.
• Carbs. Lots of carbs. Models eating lots of carbs.
• Beautiful vintage cars at Twinkle’s show, held at the Classic Car Club on Hudson Street.
• The Hilton Sisters
• Strawberries and champagne on Valentines Day at the James Coviello presentation
• Model Tyson Beckford snapping photos of his equally beautiful girlfriend at the Susan Cianciolo presentation at Tela on Little West 12th Street.
There you have it, my utterly random yet fabulous Fashion Week experience.
