City Pulse

Don’t forget with all of the fashion shows, shopping events and parties happening this weekend that there are still many amazing animals out there who are looking for a home. Once again, The Mayor’s Alliance For NYC Animals is holding their second Adoptapalooza festival in Washington Square Park, this Sunday, September 12th from 11am-4pm. There will be pure breed and mixed breed dogs and cats from shelters and animal rescue groups around the area, including New York City Animal Care & Control, Bideawee and the North Shore Animal League.

In addition to finding yourself a perfect new friend, there will be raffles and drawings all day. You can enter to win 2 nights for you and your pooch at the new NYC Kimpton Hotel in North Chelsea, Eventi. There will be demonstrations from trainers, question and answer session with veterinarians, a pet fashion show at 1pm (because why should only models walk the catwalk this weekend?), a pet art exhibit, pet massages and many, many more things going on. So even if you are a pet owner with a full house, this is an event you definitely should not miss out on.

Go to http://www.facebook.com/adoptapalooza to find out more information on adoption events happening at Adoptapalooza throughout the day on Sunday. Bring all of your pet-less friends and family members along and let them see for themselves what they are missing out on!
