City Pulse

Monday night at the New York premiere of Man of Steel, the ever-stunning Amy Adams stole the show. Adams, who stars as Lois Lane in the upcoming film, wore a perfectly-fitting strapless Nina Ricci gown that made us swoon, and her gorgeous makeup was just as dramatic. Talk about perfection!

For redheads, a red lip and light eyes are always a safe bet, but makeup artist Stephen Sollitto, who created Amy’s look went for something more unexpected. “We wanted the look to be a little softer, but with a modern twist. Aubergine and Copper are such a beautiful combination, especially with Amy’s eyes and coloring. It was a soft, modern twist on the red lip.”

To make her eyes dazzle, Solitto applied products from Votre Vu. He used the Gilt shade from their Palette Play Eyeshadow Quad in Copper (put this on your wish list, redheads; it comes out September).

He also applied a bit of Votre Vu’s Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine along lashes, and of course a hefty dose of Eiffel Power mascara. Finally, her striking lips were a perfect pout thanks to Votre Vu’s French Kiss in Annette. Oh-la-la!

Create this look for yourself and trust us, Superman will find you!
