Rosa Chá’s Summer 2008 collection, designed by Amir Slama, showcased beautiful, architectural swimwear, with nods to the retro shapes of the 1950’s and ’60’s. A neutral color palette mixed pale and bright hues, including pinks, whites, blacks, grays, blues and splashes of bright green. Bold tribal jewelry by Juliana Scarpa added edge to the collection.

Edward Tricomi at work backstage.
Backstage at Rosa Chá, star stylist Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi gave models lush, bouncy curls with tons of shine and movement. On the makeup front, check out the fabulous Flip video below for our exclusive backstage interview with MAC’s Chief Makeup Artist, Gordon Espinet, who gave models a 70’s inspired, naturally gorgeous-but-better face with Goldspice, a bronze cream eyeshadow (from MAC’s upcoming limited edition Metal X collection, out 11.29), a nude, glow-y cheek and layer upon layer of black mascara.

JC Chasez on the prowl at Rosa Cha.
Celebs on the scene at Rosa Chá included JC Chasez of N’Sync fame, Ashley Parker Angel (er, I think. Or another pseudo-celebrity that resembled him. Forgive me, Ashley.) and Nikki Sixx of Motley Crüe (who touched me…meow).
