Modern Bride magazine has teamed up with Planet Hope, an organization that provides help to homeless and abused children and their families, to distribute donated bridesmaid dresses to affiliated high schools throughout the country for girls to wear to their upcoming proms. |
There’s no entrance fees of any sort, just show up dress in hand and you’ll have access to complimentary beauty consultations and makeovers, a runway fashion show of the latest trends in wedding dresses and accessories, a chance to win a trip to Barbados among other prizes, along with food, drinks, gift bags, discounted shopping and tons of other perks.
So help young women across the country look stunning on their prom night, in hopes that they’ll have a better once in a lifetime experience than you did. Now when I say you…I mean me -planned evening for months-broke up with long time boyfriend after a fight over said prom plans-spent the night boycotting the soirée with my BFF in grungy college boys apartment playing drinking games. Definitely not a story for the grandkids, to say the least.

I saw you ladies on Weekend Today and I might have some dresses to donate. The only thing is that the bridesmaids dresses are about on an average 35-40 years old. They are all clean and under plastic. Would you be interested in them. I also might have a couple of long evening type dresses, not real dressy. If you would like I can send you pictures.
