City Pulse

By Eugene Franklin

As we celebrate Mother’s Day and the special women in our lives, we are afforded the opportunity to remind them of the importance of scheduling regular breast cancer screenings with their health care practitioner. Just having this simple conversation with them can help save a life.

Taylor Ré Lynn, actress and health/beauty ambassador works with a variety of women from all different backgrounds and cultures. A trained practitioner herself, Taylor reminds us that women need support while navigating through the treatment process. A strong support system is key and not always in place. Not only are they going through the initial shock of diagnosis, but they are also dealing with the stress of possible surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or a combination of therapies. The impact of these treatments can weigh on them physically, leading to issues with self-esteem, body image and questioning self-worth.

In my role with Sheer Lace Beauty, we help to support women and provide them with quality beauty products to help them maintain a sense of dignity and self-esteem through their treatment process. Our motto is Bringing out the Sheer Beauty in You! From quality hair prosthetics, to beautiful head scarves, and natural comfort cream fortified with Aloe and Vitamin E for patients, our aim is to support.
