If you haven’t been watching the contest, you are really missing something special, but it’s not too late. BN NYC recently attended the America’s Got Talent BBQ and “Twittter” party at the iconic Radio City Music Hall @ Rockefeller Center.
Here’s the latest in regards to the event and the competition.
Our night began with judges, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel (above) along with Mel B, contestants and guests in a hilarious game of Jenga and a bean bag toss. The cocktails were flowing and the tasty hor d’oeuvres were passed around before the grills fired up BBQ ribs, succulent chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans and a buffet of traditional side dishes. Delish!
The energy in the room was as palpable as it was on stage — pre-performance jitters gave way to show time.
It’s getting down to the wire with only 16 acts and 2 wild card performers remaining. One of which is the powerhouse protégé, Quintavious Johnson (pictured above with his mother, Yolanda). When this young man sings, it’s like hearing one of the greats: Sinatra, Ella, Crosby, Holiday, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder…
If you haven’t been watching, you really need to see this year’s best of the best — the show has some of the most amazing talent to grace the RCMH stage. It’s a variety show for the ages and family friendly. AGT airs on NBC every Tuesday and Wednesday.
The current remaining performers include: Acro Army, Blue Journey, Baila Conmigo, David and Leeman, Emil & Dariel, Smoothini, Sons of Serendip, Jaycob Curlee, Miguel Dakata, Mat Franco, Kelli Glover, Mara Justine, Jonah Smith, Christian Stoinev and Emily West (pictured above with our Senior Editor, PK Greenfield).
While many of these über-talented artists will gain exposure and plenty of job opportunities, one fortunate act will walk away with one million dollars and a permanent showcase in Las Vegas.
