I like to think I’m a pretty funny gal. I can turn almost any awkward situation into something amusing and can put on a convincing thick New York accent, to name a few (not to brag or anything). But really, I’m no match for the funny ladies of the NYC women’s theatre group, WET Productions; funny ladies like Amy Sedaris, Lauren Ambrose and Debra Messing.
All jokes aside, the theatre group is launching their INKubator Summer Series, an intimate look into new plays by the most dynamic women creating theater. INKubator is a development program for new plays and screenplays written by women writers. For three consecutive Monday’s in June, WET Productions is inviting all you humorous ladies to free readings and improv performances by their fierce female performers.
WET is a non-profit production company that produces media that challenges female stereotypes and advocates for equality. WET develops, produces and promotes innovative, female generated work in film, theater, television, events and education.
