This February, City Opera and The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture have collaborated to present you with an unforgettable and amazing Black History Month celebration. This collaboration is a three part series which includes, “I’m On My Way”: Black History At City Opera presenting the contributions African-American have made to City Opera as well as the African American artists who have performed on City Opera’s stage, “One Fine Day”: A Tribute to Camilla Williams and “Troubled Island”: 60th Anniversary Celebration feature discussions, performances, guest speakers, historic slides and audio and video clips.
