When the warm weather rolls around, a slew of outdoor activities come into fruition for all of us New Yorker’s to enjoy, as we search for some fun in the sun without straying far from our beloved city.
If you’re looking for a twist on a good old-fashioned drive-in movie and an excuse to be outdoors, head to opening night of Rooftop Films Summer Series tonight at New Design High School on the Lower East Side. The doors open at 8pm and the films begin at 9pm. Tonight you can catch a viewing of 9 short films by filmmakers from India, New York and Canada to name a few. Tickets are a mere $10 and the films provide a peek into some great, undiscovered talent. |
Films are typically shown Thursday-Sunday (perfect for date nights!) and the series runs through Monday September 20th.
