Sizzling Designs in the Meatpacking District

Ever on the forefront of all things trendy, the Meatpacking District is offering up something new for us to sink our teeth into with the 3rd Annual Meatpacking District Design ’08. The exposition, which coincides with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, will feature a variety of exhibitions, lectures, new products, art installations and cocktail parties all taking place in fabulous locales throughout the Meatpacking District. The theme for this year’s event is YOUTH, both because of the young designers being featured as well as the attempt to capture “the revitalized spirit and diverse membership of the Meatpacking District Initiative.”

Notable designers will be in attendance, including Jeff Miller, Studio Dror, Theory and countless others. To receive your Meatpacking District Design Guide, which will provide further details about event specifics, check in at the Hardcore Café (413-415 W. 14th Street) or the Hotel Gansevoort Lobby (18 Ninth Avenue). So this weekend, take a stroll through the cobblestoned streets of one of New York’s most exciting districts for one of the spring’s most exciting events.
