This season the use of hardware on clothing, shoes, and accessories has been making an everlasting comeback of the most coveted rocker embellishment known to fashion. Yes, my friends we’re talking about the STUD. Since the little guys hit the Punk rock scene back in the 80′s they seem to have left a lasting impression that just won’t go away.

Luckily this season’s biggest trend has come around with a twist. As of late, many designers have been using studs in less obvious places. Mixing and matching patterns and other hardware pieces to create that edgy downtown to uptown chic look is key this year. Looking like you just stepped out of a five-day party binge with “the band” is not.

A statement piece indeed the stud will take your wardrobe from bland to grand in a matter of seconds. Incorporating studded accessories into your wardrobe is simple, as long as you stick with the basics and do not over do it.

This Silver studded Marc Jacobs Eugenie Wristlet clutch would go great with anything from a casual T-shirt and jeans to a night out on the town. The studs are plated with glitter and the light metallic silver color of the leather is perfect to make use of all year around.

It was love at first sight when I spotted this Erickson Beamon Studded felt cuff bracelet. Blending beads, felt, and studs is definitely an unconventional yet savvy way of bringing this trend back to life in style. When wearing heavily studded or embellished jewelry less is always more.
