While some might choose Christmas or Halloween to be their favorite holiday, Cinco de Mayo happens to be mine. And while I don’t have an ounce of Mexican blood in me, I can sure down some tacos and margaritas with the rest of em’.

If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate this year, head to some of the restaurants below that will be offering some pretty sweet deals in celebration of the Mexican holiday.

Cinco de Mayo is best served with live music, so head to Mercadito where you can dance to live Mariachi bands while sipping “the hottest drink on Earth” for $12 and downing $5 tequila shots at this Mexican hotspot. To be sure you eat something before getting crazy with the tequila, they’re also offering a sharing menu for $30 per person at the East Village location. Choose from three types of guacamole, ceviches and tacos and end the night with a delicious coconut flan. 179 Ave B, 212.529.6490

If you’re a Brooklyn gal, head to Palo Santo the yummy Latin-American restaurant in Park Slope is offering mole poblano and unlimited sangria and Mexican beer for just $25. 652 Union Street, Brooklyn, 718.636.6311

Cabrito in Greenwich Village will be clearing out their tables in exchange for sand for an all-out beach party starting at noon. Think pià±atas, a kiddie pool, a sandcastle contest and a tiki bar. They’ll also be offering some delicious food and drink specials. 50 Carmine Street, 212.929.5050

If you insist on enjoying your tequila and tacos outside on this beautiful spring day, then head to Papacitos in Greenpoint for the grand opening of their Mexican garden. The daylong fiesta boasts $1 Tecate beers and free tequila shots every hour. You can also enjoy vegan beef tacos and yummy grilled tilapia fish tacos while shaking your bum to their live Mariachi band. 999 Manhattan Ave., Brooklyn, 718.349.7292

If you’re looking for a classier type of Cinco de Mayo celebration, head to Los Feliz on the Lower East side for foie gras tacos, a variety of ceviches and Huitlacoche (a Mexican black truffle) quesadillas. The’ll also be mixing up some spicy cocktail options sure to get you up and dancing. 109 Ludlow Street, 212.228.8383
