City Pulse

Crazy Bananas As we move into the hottest month of the year I find myself searching for something -anything- to help cool me off. Although I love ice cream, it’s not really beneficial to the maintenance of a beach bod (not that I have one, but still). So I decided to go on a mission to track down the best frozen yogurt, a.k.a froyo, in the city. When I stumbled upon Crazy Bananas I was intrigued by the quaint little shop’s daily specials made with different fresh fruits to give you the natural vitamin benefit of each.

On Monday & Tuesday, try the Rose Hip froyo. A fruit of the rose plant rich in Vitamins A, C, D and E to give you a boost to start your week. On Wednesday & Thursday, “fight midweek fatigue” with Pomegranate Raspberry froyo rich in antioxidants. End your week with Blueberry Cranberry froyo for a “passionately purple” weekend. You can always enjoy the Original froyo any day for a delicious way to cool yourself off. Don’t forget a topping (or three) to send you into frozen treat bliss. From fresh fruit, like bananas (hence the name), strawberries and pineapple to fruity pebbles, granola and almonds.

What I love about Crazy’s is that the frozen yogurt actually tastes like yogurt. That’s right, like you’re eating a vanilla yogurt from you’re favorite supermarket brand. That’s because the yogurt is made fresh everyday with no added sugars or artificial flavors.

Crazy’s also offers smoothies and even a froyo banana split. So next time you’re searching for a tasty way to cool yourself down, head over to Crazy Bananas for a bikini-friendly option.
