il Buco is a New York staple, known for it’s delicious, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine and locally sources ingredients. For the third year in a row, il Buco will be kickstaring Earth Day awareness by hosting Earth Awareness Week, an fundraiser to protect the Amazon Rainforest.
The restaurant will be donating a portion of your lunch or late lunch bill to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s oldest and largest global environmental network. Here’s how it works:
Your lunch bill will be reduced by 15% for the week, or 20% during their late lunch service (4-6pm) and that 15-20% saved will be donated by il Buco (out of pocket) to the IUCN.
Over the past 15 plus years that il Buco has been open, they’ve made considerable green efforts such as installing their own water filtration system to eliminate the use of bottle water, printing menus on recycled paper and composting unused food.
So head to il Buco next week for a delicious lunch and a good cause.
