City Pulse

By Ashley Goldsmith

One of my first memories of Kérastase is from when I was about 12 years old and had my hair cut and colored (oh horrible bonde highlights how I do not miss you!) by my dad’s hairdresser friend. She would take us to her overpriced salon and cut my hair into the most fabulous tween cut and style my hair with products from Kérastase. I would beg my dad to buy the products for me because obviously the final look just couldn’t be achieved without them. So there I was, the only 12 year old I knew with a bathroom full of French haircare products. I finished them up quickly and was forced to move on to some more age appropriate choices.

Despite the brevity of my relationship with Kérastase the love affair never really ended. It is always the first brand that I recommend to friends who are looking for products to revive their damaged hair or to manage their thick locks. If you’re part of the French haircare brands cult following that you’ll be happy for some bittersweet news. The brand is now offering a 30% discount on all of its discontinued products. I suggest Bain Aprés-Soleil, a balancing shampoo for sun-exposed hair, as beach weather approaches and Bain Elasto-Curl, a hydra-toning bath for curly, dry hair, which is actually being reformulated for the beach wave trend. All you have to do is log on to site below and enter the code VIP30 at checkout to claim your discount.

Happy shopping!

Before buying these products, see how they rate for toxic ingredients at the following location:

In order to force the cosmetics industry to treat us better, we need to force their hand by voting with our pocketbook and buying products that are non toxic.
