Spa Week really couldn’t have come at a better time, in case you haven’t heard, New Jersey is considering a ban on “genital” waxing after two women complained of having been hospitalized after some botched jobs. Which means that when the board votes on April 14th, the Jersey shore could be a bit of a hairy situation this summer.

Enter New York Spa Week, from April 13-19th New York Spas from Westchester to Long Island will be offering select services for only $50 (don’t forget to tip accordingly though ladies!) Everything from laser hair removal to massages and spray tanning to facials will be offered at a fraction of their normal prices. You can enjoy a Geisha Facial at Shizuka, yes the bird poop facial, while Jersey boys and girls can legally tame their nether regions with Brazilian waxes at Completely Bare.

So if your skin needs some post winter refreshing, your back is in knots from stress or if you’re a Jersey girl and are afraid of being another, ahem, bush in the Garden state, then log onto http://www.spaweek.com and book your appointment today. But who knows, maybe there’s a devout waxer or two in that board meeting that will stand up for your right to control your body hair!

What: New York Spa Week
When: April 13-19th 2009
