Just because summer’s over doesn’t mean you have to give up your film fix. Italian restaurant La Gazzetta, at 55 Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking district welcomes film lovers with their Monday night Cinema Italiano screening series. Dine on Chef Todd Macdonald’s menu of signature Italian dishes, including authentic rustic bruschette, antipasti and homemade pasta or, if you’re a movie traditionalist, munch on a $5 bag of truffle popcorn.

This coming Monday the Academy Award winning film “La vita e Bella” (Life is Beautiful) starring Roberto Benigni is scheduled to screen. Each Monday a different classic presented, culminating in a Halloween screening of “Return of the Living Dead.”

10/3 La Vita è Bella (Life is Beautiful)
10/10 West Side Story
10/17 To Kill a Mockingbird
