City Pulse

Diet all this week if you like, but come Saturday, bring your appetites down to Gansevoort Street where Chelsea and the Meat Packing District meet up, to savor TASTES NYC featuring some of NY’s hottest restaurants.

This outdoor extravaganza promises to be a foodies delight as you sample dishes from Amy’s Bread, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, Fatty Crab, Fig and Olive, The Red Cat, Spasso, Chelsea Thai, Bakehouse, Friedman’s Lunch, Stella’s Pizza, Smorgas Chef, Marble Lane, Tia Pol, Spice Market…and others. And of course they’ll be some lovely libations to pair well with those tastes.

Kinky Boots? No, probably not great to wear on the cobblestones. However, there will be a raffle for two VIP seats for this saucy show, as well as raffles for lots of other cool things you know you want.

Here’s the best part: all the proceeds will go to The Lab Middle and High School in Chelsea. This public school boasts an outstanding academic record and educates more than 1,000 NYC kids from grades 6 – 12.

So come and enjoy a great afternoon of fun and food, and help support a great NYC public school.

Prices range from $45. for 6 tastings to $75. for unlimited tastes. Pre-order tickets beforehand, and get a discount of $10. See the website for more information.
