City Pulse

By Alicia Kim

As a well-known American fashion designer, Betsey Johnson brought plentiful guests to her Spring/Summer ‘14 runway show at the New York Fashion Week. Her lovely grandchildren – Layla and Ella – also made their appearance, allowing the successful event to reach an even higher climax. The collection that Betsey presented at this show involved whimsical, feminine and funky designs, which is her iconic style.

The make-up and nail art also well reflected on this style, which Stila’s make-up artist Sarah Lucero had been selected to coordinate. The look achieved a portrayal of courageous girls who denied shying away from wearing mood-boosting and outrageous silhouettes. The make-up artist used Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer for the face, and Magnificent Metals Foil Eye Shadow in Metallic Lavender for the eyes. The lip make-up was matched to the metallic eye shadow, for which the Eye Shadow in Opal was used to create the effect.
