We loved the elegant strapless gown on Julia Stiles. The Georges Hobeika soft lavender lace complemented her skin and hair tones perfectly.

Using Laura Mercier makeup, makeup artist, Brett Freedman, brought the whole look in harmony by giving Julia a Veronica Lake look that was modern, glamorous and yet very much her.

To create the look: for yourself…

Start with Secret Camouflage to conceal minor imperfections which look even worse under those harsh stage lights. Then, finish with a light dusting of Invisible Loose Setting Powder which absorbs shine, but doesn’t add any color.

Lips should complement the color of your gown, and Brett used a Plumberry Lip Pencil. Brett tells us that he used the pencil all over the lip to create a matte old-Hollywood matte feel.

While some of the tips are old Hollywood, we think Julia looks gorgeous and very now!
