Fall Plant Market


Houseplants, mums, pumpkins, and more will be sold for $5-$10 each at Madison Square Park, named for James Madison (fourth President of the United States, for a brief history lesson) this Thursday, October 4th and Friday, October 5th from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The funds will go to its not-for-profit organization to help keep Madison Square Park “bright, beautiful and lively.” Enter at 23rd street to the Southern Plaza. Yoga in the Garden



Yes, we know it’s early when most of you wake, but get a good start on the day, meaning 8:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., and join Yoga in the Garden with Sydney MacGinnis. Every Tuesday, the Bartow-Pell’s grounds at Pelham Bay Park hosts stretching, balancing, breath exercises, deep relaxation, and brief meditation for an easeful body and peaceful mind. Bring a mat or towel and wear comfortable clothing. The fee per session is $175 (or $158 for Pelham Art Center and Bartow-Pell members).
