|Without question, we at BN know that you’re fans of fabulous beauty products and chic New York fashions. We also know that you’re supportive of your fellow fearless females and our efforts to stop sexism, Rosie the Riverter style. This Sunday, March 8th, is International Women’s Day and we’re supporting a great cause in celebration of it. If you’re familiar with Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year, then you’ve heard about Somaly Mam, a survivor of human trafficking whom, at a very young age, was sold into a life of
sexual slavery and is now a voice for women and children tortured in the brothels of Cambodia. The New York Chapter of The Somaly Mam Foundation, a nonprofit public charity whose vision is to put an end to sexual slavery, will be holding an on-line auction, partnering with eBay Giving Works, to raise money for the charity.|
The auction will go live on Sunday and is offering up some of our favorite beauty and fashion items at 50-75% off retail prices. Including a cut & color with celebrity stylist David Evangelista, over $1000 in Givenchy makeup, skincare and fragrance, a 3-month Equinox Fitness membership, VIP tickets to see a live taping of Rachael Ray and more beauty steals from brands including Givenchy, Pucci Fragrances, Fresh, Guerlain, Dior,
Sephora and Frederic Fekkai.
All proceeds from the Woman’s Day auction will go to
The Somaly Mam Foundation in Cambodia. Log on to http://stores.shop.ebay.com/thesomalymamfoundation on March 8th and support females across the globe with some guilt-free purchases. If you’re planning on sleeping in that day and might miss the bulk of the auctioning, log on to http://www.somaly.org to find out how you can help a great cause.
