Earth Day is almost upon us – and what better way to celebrate the occasion than cruising over to the Jacob Javits Center for New York City’s first annual Green Festival on April 21-22. Rejoicing in all that’s recyclable and invigorating for the environment, the event will feature over 300 eco-friendly businesses showcasing what’s new and need-to-know in sustainable products and services. A number of celeb activists will make appearances, there will be food demos, a green economy expo, and of course, the thing we’re most excited about – the Organic Beer and Wine Pavilion.

For beers, you can look forward to the handcrafted ales made from artisanal ingredients, courtesy of
Peak Organic Brewing Company, plus seasonal and year-round craft brews from Long Trail Brewing & Otter Creek Brewing Company. For wines, the Naked Group will unveil their pinot noir, cabernet, chardonnay, pinot grigio and moscato selections, which are cultivated through sustainable wine making practices. You’ll also find Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery, hailing from the Northern Illinois Wine Trail.
New York City Green Festival will be held on April 21-22, 2012.
Doors open Saturday April 21 from 10AM to 7PM, and Sunday April 22 from 11AM to 6PM.
