|With Halloween falling on a weekend this year, the celebrations in New York City are going to be endless. I am sure everyone has gotten at least one or two party invites in their mailbox. Still don’t have plans but want to celebrate? There are some great events in the city to dress up and get your party on at. Still don’t have a costume? That’s alright. Stop by Sephora and grab yourself a MAKE UP FOR EVER Tricks and Treats Set. It contains everything that you need to transform yourself into a dramatic character.|
Now that you’re all prettied up and spooked out, you’ll need a party. GrandLife is holding their sure-to-be-hot Overlook Hotel Halloween Party at the Tribeca Grand from 10pm-4am on Saturday night. The always-hip Misshapes will be DJing, along with many others. This is going to be one highly fashionable event. For more information on DJs and hosts and to RSVP go to: Grandlifenyc.com
And of course New York’s Village Halloween Parade will be doing its 38th run up 6th Avenue on Sunday night. Want to march? All you have to do is wear a costume and show up at the line up point at 6th Avenue between Canal and Spring Streets from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Just want to watch? Get yourself a spot on 6th Avenue early, especially if you are bringing youngsters, because the Village sidewalks are sure to be packed. For you wild Sunday nighters, a Halloween party at Webster Hall will follow the parade. Click here for more info: http://www.halloween-nyc.com/.
I am going to end with the standard “have fun and be safe”. But it’s wise advice. Take a cab whenever possible and be sure to have some food and water with your pumpkin-tinis!
