Vinoteca is offering Italian wine courses this winter. Learn about wines from Umbria, Campania, winter wines and what a super Tuscan is and how they taste. Each course varies in price. Some courses like the Italian Wine Course is 8 hours (four sessions) long, while other courses meet for only one evening. Classes are held at Vinoteca (143 E. 27th Street, between Lex & 3rd Avenue). The second annual “New York State of Wine” tasting event will be held Wednesday, February 2nd. Wines from eight of Long Island and Wine Country’s finest vineyards will be available for your delight. Of course, there will be live music and hors d’oeuvres.
All proceeds from the event will benefit StreetWise Partners ([url=http://www.streetwisepartners.org]http://www.streetwisepartners.org[/url]), a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one job training and mentoring to low-income and/or unemployed individuals through 13 weekly skill-building sessions with volunteers from prominent organizations and corporations. The event is hosted and coordinated by the On Your Feet Project. It’s a national non-profit organization made up of young professionals dedicated to community involvement.
