While I don’t see marriage anyway in my near future, I have seen an episode or two of Bridezilla and the trailer to Bride Wars. All I can hope for is the ability to believe in the mantra of “less is more” and relying on my cool, calm and collected future husband (where are you by the way?) to make the most important day of my life, stress-free, affordable and beautiful.
With that said, enter Filene’s Basement’s Annual Running of the Brides. Yes you read correctly. Literally hoards of brides-to-be flock to this discount fashion mecca in hopes of finding the dress of their dreams at a fraction of the price. The event features 1300 to 2500 gowns ranging in price from $250 to $700. |
So grab your crazy mother of the bride, your maid of honor and your best gay friend (he’ll always tell the truth!) wear matching tees (so you can find each other in the crowds!), your best running shoes and dive in veil-first!
