Last month, I had the pleasure of meeting Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon on a Sunday evening at the Mercury Lounge in NYC where Sean was performing with his new band. While it’s not an evening with John Lennon himself, I could surely feel his energy and the inspiration he’s had over Sean and his music.

This Tuesday, December 8th marks the 29th anniversary of John’s death in front of the Dakota on Central Park West. In celebration of his life, musicians from the NY-based organization New Arts NYC will be holding a 2 hour sing-a-long, appropriately titled, For the Love of Lennon, at the Central Park Bandshell on Sunday December 6th.

The show will feature professional musicians playing music from Lennon’s days as a Beatle and from his solo work. Don’t fear the cold though, once everyone “comes together” you’ll forget about the temperature and you’ll just want to “give peace a chance.” See you all there!

Visit http://www.NewArtsNYC.com for more info on the organization.

What: For the Love of Lennon
