The rain started to pour in the sides of the tent hosting the anticipated fashion show, but this did not put a damper on Jill Stuart’s Spring 2013 Collection in the slightest bit. Odile Gilbert, of Kérastase Paris, was inspired by faded Hollywood glamour. Gilbert created a contemporary version with a soft smokey eye, using a blended brown pencil and a soft dewy smokey eye shadow. A stain on the center of the lips added to the fresh look. The long dresses inspired by the 40′s and 30′s with fitted tops and lots of pastels added the old Hollywood glamorous feel. The hair, done by Diane Kendal using Jill Stuart Cosmetics, mirrored that of a “veil.” The veil look created a sophisticated look but still young and fresh, embodying the designer’s feminine and fresh collection.
