City Pulse
February 2007

By Dina Fierro

In her brief career as a designer, Erin Fetherston has established a name for herself for modern femininity, clothing that truly makes the wearer feel beautiful. Her Fall 2007 collection stayed true to the hype and included a muted color palette of grays, silvers, blacks and winter whites with splashes of peachy pink and steel blue. The statement coats and mod shift dresses were paired with distinctive leg wear, including lurex threaded silver tights. Sequin adorned knit caps – again with the retro 1920′s influence – topped off the look. Metallic ballet flats (will the trend ever die?) and vintage inspired gray booties kept models, including actress Zooey Deschanel, with feet firmly planted on the runway.

Makeup for Erin Fetherston was by master Vincent Longo, who kept the focus on a doll-like pink cheek, accented by a mauve lip and a pale blue eye with layers of black mascara.

Distinct beauty trends continue to emerge for Fall 2007; long, flowy and loose waves were again on the runway, this time conceptualized by Lyndelle for Bumble & Bumble.
