Nanette Lepore’s Fall 2007 collection was as glamorous as the myriad of celebrities – including Karen Duffy, Illeana Douglas and Carson Kressley – sitting in her front row. The whole look sang of glitz and femininity with the bold use of layers and metallic brocades that glittered under the lights of the catwalk.
Nanette Lepore’s models boasted girlish, tousled tresses by Bumble & Bumble. Loose ponytails adorned with thick, earth toned, flower bearing, headbands were simple, yet gave a stylish nod to decades past. M.A.C.’s team of makeup artists created a fresh faced look for the show. Light pink lips paired with rosy blushed cheeks complimented the subtle yet rich hues of the line – think purples, greens, and greys. The eyes were accented with full black lashes and dark eye liner. The look for the makeup had a balance of color and emphasis, which left the main focus on the garments presented.
The lights were indeed shining upon Nanette Lepore’s collection with its emphasis on relaxed beauty techniques, highlighting the flirtatious velvet and chiffon glimmery dresses. In all, the designer created a showcase of radiant, utterly wearable looks for the modern woman who wants to stay in touch with her dazzling girlish persona.
