|Tomorrow morning, November 20th, at 8am, select H&M stores will be releasing H&M’s long-awaited collaboration with the breathtaking French luxury label Lanvin and you can be sure that I am one of the fashionistas you see lining up outside at dawn. Ultra glamorous and impeccably constructed, Lanvin’s pieces consist of master draping combined with feminine ruffles, without looking frilly. Founded in 1890, this Parisian fashion house, currently led by the brilliant Alber Elbaz, creates timeless classics for the modern Rive Gauche (or New York City) woman. And tomorrow, I can finally afford to own one (or three) of Lanvin’s fabulous works of art for myself.|
This is a perfect opportunity to grab yourself something special to wear for the holidays. Consisting of party dresses and high heels, the pieces in this limited edition collection are ranging from $99 to $249, a bargain compared to the usual Lanvin price tag running in the thousands. Go to http://www.hm.com/us/lanvin#/Lanvin/ to view the entire collection and to find out which stores will be carrying the line. As you may well know, collections like these tend to sell out in minutes after the door opens, so get there early and grab a spot in line. Oh, and don’t stress boys, there will be a Lanvin for men collection there as well.
And as an additional bit of added love, Mr. Elbaz has created a line of special Haute Couture looks for the H&M collection, which are being auctioned off online. He is additionally auctioning off five of his original sketches of designs. All proceeds will go to UNICEF. Go to http://www.lanvinforhm.com/ and place your bid on your unique piece of wearable art before November 26th. Shopping is always more justifiable when it’s for charity. Happy bidding.
