Pure sex from Cabaret was the inspiration behind Naeem Khan AW14 collection. Throughout his collection you will see vibrant fabric, rich colors, exotic prints and gold beading. Naeem collection is full of glamour and red carpet moments.
With all the glitz and glam, NARS Director of Global Artistry, James Boehmer wanted to elaborate on women during the 20’s, highlighting their skin and confidence. He immediately decided on a deep blood red lip color. James feels a red lip is an attitude and makes you feel good and confident about yourself. To balance the red lip James gilded the eyes finishing with defined brows. With strong brows and deep lips, gave the look a true Cabaret vampy feel. He left the skin with a dewy texture, a luminous finish and no blush.
Deep side parts seem to be a hair trend for fall 2014. Lead hair stylist Sally Hershberger wanted to capture the strength throughout Naeem Khan collection and embrace women’s confidence. She started by creating a deep side part, then pulling the hair back into a tight low ponytail. Sally then divided the ponytail into sections and twisting each section before pinning it up into a bun. By sectioning the ponytail and twisting the pieces before pinning gives the bun a rope like finish. Sally feels this look is easy to create at home, by leaving the hair loose and not so slick back.
To finish the look Julie Kandalec for essie created a luxury red carpet look by capturing the gold found throughout Naeem Khan AW14. To create this gold Julie layered on two different shades of gold’s found currently in essie’s collection. First she layered the nail with good as gold then finished with shifting power . To prevent polish from chipping, Julie suggests always applying good to go top coat.
To create the hair and makeup look, below is a list of items both artists used.

Eyes: NARS Kauai Duo Eyeshadow
Brows: NARS Matte Eyeshadow
