This season, Rag & Bone showed one of their most defined collections yet; the Rag & Bone woman is distinct and refined. The idea for the collection was inspired by aviation, and the hair and makeup matched the sense of modern flight.

The makeup was done by the talented Global Artistic Director for Revlon, Gucci Westman. The look was clean and fresh, with simple but crucial details to create a new and edgy look. To start, the face was primed with Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, $12.99. Then to keep the skin evenly toned and matte, Westman then added a sheer layer of Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup, and then a light dusting of Nearly Naked Pressed Powder, $9.99 each. For illuminating the cheekbones, Westman used Illuminance Crème Shadow in Not Just Nudes, $6.50, and to give the cheeks and lips a radiant glow, Revlon Baby Sticks in Pink Passion, available Spring/Summer 2013, $8.99. The face looked dewy and fresh to go with the bold eyes.

For the eyes, Westman kept it simple yet bold with one thin, black line, starting slightly inside the eye crease and extending out just beyond the shape of the eye. This was achieved using Revlon Colorstay Crème Gel Liner in Black, $9.99, and Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Black Velvet, $9.99, for some extra definition and dimension in the line. To finish off the look, the lips were kept light and natural to enhance each model’s natural color using Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Supermodel, $9.99, blended with Colorstay Lipliner in Mauve, $7.99.

The hair was styled in a cool side swept bun and held in place with Redken products. The hair was parted deeply on one side and swept across the face and down around the head to the low back of the neck. From the part, the other side was pulled back towards the bun in one sleek piece. The bun in the back was twisted into a simple bun, but the ends were left out and textured to give the look a punky edge. To secure the look, stylists used Redken’s Quick Tease 15, Guts 10, and Fashion Work 12. The look was super modern and exciting yet simple and bold.
