While the merchandise at Sephora is always new, fresh and exciting, the clothes worn by the salespeople…not so much. In fact, their uniforms hadn’t had a redo since 2001 and were in need of an update.

They chose the right person for the job! Enter CFDA award winning Prabal Gurung, who gets tons of well deserved accolades from his peers as well as us editors for his timeless designs always done with pizzazz. He tells us, “I’m not a designer who makes trendy clothes…the only trend that is universal is that women want to feel beautiful. That’s what guides my work.

With the gift of making people look good and feel comfortable in their clothes, and keeping in mind the signature Sephora black and red color scheme, Gurung created sleek black outfits with a bold flash of red. The clothes not only look good on the sales team (called “The Cast” by management) but are functionally comfortable in the fast paced Sephora shopping environment.

Women have a choice of a shift dress with red trim on the shoulders and hidden within an inverted back pleat, or a sleek fitted pantsuit with some pops of red at the shoulder of the blazer. For men, easy to wear shirts and sweaters also with a pop of red, along with simply tailored trousers, complete the look.

Head over to your nearest Sephora and tell them how good they’re looking, and while you’re there, check out all the cool new makeup colors for spring, and cutting edge skin care.
