Rachel Antonoff is a youthful designer whose clothes appeal to a girlie playful audience. Her muse may very well be herself – she was so approachable in a cute blue dress and displayed a wicked sense of humor as she showcased her latest Spring Collection during NYFW. The inspiration: Gals hanging out at a country club, and they misbehave and likely have hidden secrets. Backstage beauty for Antonoff’s presentation alluded to the charming but naughty nature of the models, and of course their clothes were oh-so-wearable, fun, and feminine.

Keri Blair, Lead Makeup Artist for M.A.C. Cosmetics, used these products to achieve the signature look:

Face: Face & Body Foundation on face to create a milky skin.
Eyes: Black Trace Fluid Line applied slightly slicker and rounded off at the edges of eyes. Black Poodle Pigment was pressed in over the eyes. Haute & Naughty Mascara on top lashes. A gloss texture was added to eyelids. A thin wash of black and magenta was mixed and brushed under bottom lashes.
Cheeks: So Sweet So Easy Cremeblend Blush was patted on lower cheeks to create a flushed appearance.
Pearl Cream Color Base was patted on cheek bones to highlight.
Lips: Firm Form Lipstick mixed with black and magenta Lipmix patted on lips to create a stain effect.

“These girls mean well, but they’re wealthy bitches with attitude. They are sweet and entitled,” said Blair.

Jenny Balding, Stylist for Cutler/Redken, made hair rich, geometric and angled. Perfect for the country club, model tresses were slick and smooth. The two products used were Redken Align, a straightening balm, and Fashion Work Hairspray to control flyaways and for sleekness.

So if you’re going to get caught in the bushes, at least be well-dressed in Antonoff’s flirty frocks and
sporty outfits!
