Whoever said breaking up is hard to do should have said “making up is hard to do” and let me tell you why:

1. Sometimes you know you’re right, and he just doesn’t seem to understand that.
2. Sometimes you know you’re wrong, but screw that, he’ll have to eventually believe you’re right.
3. If you don’t have your “making up” activity (wink, wink), than it feels like the argument was for no purpose at all.

Oh, wait, we’re talking about make-up making up! Nah, just kidding, I knew that all along, but was just finding a way to vent to you about what I think the classic pitfalls in relationships are. I know, not the time or space, so moving on.

Making oneself up is not easy though, might I add. Believe it or not – and you may not, so you may wanna sit down, I am not the best person at applying make-up. I’m not like Amanda Lepore-ish or anything, but … I find that I always go a little too heavy on one thing or another. It’s usually the eyes, I can’t lie. For years I’ve been trying to perfect the smokey eye thing – you know, throw a little sexiness into my mundane existence – but I always look like I just took the walk of shame and my eye make-up is giving away my secret.

So, what’s a gal to do in this situation (i.e. you missed out on make-up 101 classes in the 8th grade). Well, I think, I just think I might have an answer for you. Ever heard of Sisley Cosmetics? What, now you’re chastising me because I asked an obvious question? Ok, fine, I guess I deserved it. I know, everyone knows about Sisley, but now Sisley can know about you, too. Well, at least their head make-up guru can. Christian Guglietta, international make-up-ing genius for Sisley Cosmetics is coming to Saks, and he wants to teach y’all how to do it right – your make-up that is, and maybe some other great tidbits and life advice. Really, his genius probably knows no bounds.

So, what’s the event, you ask? Well, Christian will be at Saks from November 7-12, and will be doing all the it-gals’ make-up and divulging his deep dark secrets on the hottest trends this fall. P.S. those it-gals are you, ladies! I hear – well, I guess you can quote me on it because I’m reading it as I type it to you – is that there will also be free facials. Um, hi, right, I’m there. Oh, and I also heard that everyone who has an appointment with Christian will get a free gift. Not to repeat myself, but, um, hi, I’m there.

I don’t think I need to tell you that you should call immediately for an appointment. But I will. Call immediately for an appointment! Frankly, you could tell me that Star Jones was at Saks and I’d be down there – not only because I love Saks, but I have a sick fascination with Star Jones. I don’t know what it is – maybe it’s like I know I shouldn’t eat all that candy, but I just gotta. Whoa, I digress. Back to Saks. My point is that I love Saks, and having Christian there doing his whole fabulous make-up-ing makes me love it even more.

Call 212-940-4224 to schedule your appointment.

I really don’t think I should have to tell you where Saks is, but…because I have to it’s on Fifth Avenue at 50th Street.
