City Pulse

Aside from non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. It is also one of the leading causes of cancer death among women of all races. (Source: CDC). The disease never discriminates – it doesn’t care about your age, religion, education, purse size, etc.

To all our sassy readers, let’s ban together to find a cure, empower ourselves with knowledge,
and support our afflicted family and friends, neighbors and co-workers – we all know someone.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We’ve highlighted a few of our fave retailers who are generously giving back to help end this disease.
When you purchase their ‘Pink’ beauty and fashion products, you’ll feel good and do good.
And we all love shopping for a cure. Hopefully one day soon.

DECLÉOR has just launched DECLEOR Cares Aromessence Aromatherapy Gift Sets in time for BCA. For the 6th consecutive year, DECLÉOR will donate 10% of net proceeds of its Aromatherapy Journey Sets sold during the month of October to Cancer and Careers, a program of the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Foundation.

This collection offers four separate skincare regimes to choose from, each focusing on a specific need: Hydrating, Soothing, Nourishing and Anti-Aging. Each set includes a full retail size Aromessence™ Serum and trial sizes of the day cream and night balm. DECLÉOR Aromessence Serums are made from 100% pure and natural essential oils sourced globally and offer a skincare program to treat and protect the skin.

Dashing Diva Professional has launched a limited-edition DesignFX Breast Cancer Awareness appliqué. The exclusive Bling Ribbon appliqués feature signature breast cancer ribbons placed upon a pink and black background. The appliqué does not require heat lamps to apply or acetone to remove. A DesignFX salon manicure will last up to a week on natural nails, and up to two weeks when paired with a gel overlay like Dashing Diva Gelife®.

Dashing Diva Bling Ribbon appliqués are available at salons and Dashing Diva locations nationwide.
The nail salon and boutique expert will donate 10% of the proceeds of the service to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Visit

Recently Dashing Diva appliqués adorned the nails of runway models during NYFW shows, including designers Jeremy Scott, Naeem Khan, Sally Lapointe, Tibi, Timo Weiland, Elie Tahari, Rachel Zoe, and many more. Your hands are in pretty company!
