The CEW Award Winners and a Reader Giveaway!

Every year, CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) members vote for best new products in their Beauty Insiders’ Choice Awards. This year 625 product entries were tested and judged by over 4,900 beauty industry professionals, then narrowed down to 146 finalists, and last Friday, 29 of them were announced as winners. That testing involved a lot of spritzing, exfoliating, moisturizing, blushing, and hair washing!

At the elegant Waldorf Astoria Hotel, actor/comedian Mario Cantone was the MC and kept everyone laughing hysterically as the program moved along. Additionally, those that actually present the awards to the winners have run the gamut from the Housewives of Somewhere to Kim Kardashian. This year, CEW chose to have twelve online Beauty Editors handing out those awards, and I’m truly honored to say I was one of them. The thanks really goes to you, dear readers, for keeping Beauty News NYC so popular. Before the event, Covergirl graciously put us in the hands of their best hair stylists and makeup artists who treated us like celebrities and glammed us up so we looked our best on stage. Thanks Covergirl!

As a thank you for our participation, CEW gave us each a gift bag and has generously shared an extra to give to one of you.
